Andy Goldsworthy

I spent the weekend in the woods. Fall camping is gorgeous and I love the idea that wherever my eyes fell, it was wild. So inspiring... and it reminded me of the work of one of my favorite contemporary artists- Andy Goldsworthy. His work is site specific with only  the natural materials he finds and very rudimentary tools. Time and impermanence are as much a part of his work as the color and form. The simplicity of it just kills me.
